Novak Djokovic came back to compete using a different service motion. In the last hours a video on social networks featuring the differences between 2016 and 2018, both at the Australian Open, got viral. Now Djokovic clearly shortened the movement, a closer one, in order not to put too much to stress on the elbow that forced him to miss the second half of 2017.
A few days ago, Djokovic said they changed something in the racket and commented: 'I've introduced new people to my team. The service motion is something that we worked on. It was obviously the part of my game that I had to address because of the elbow issues.
I've worked on it for last couple months with Radek and Andre. Ever since Radek decided to join the team, he was with me more or less the entire time, trying to spend as much quality time on the court as much as we can.'
