"Nadal has performed at an unbelievably consistent level throughout the year; every match he has played he"s been close to perfection". These are the words that were echoed by German Boris Becker for Sky Sports. Becker said that he reckoned Roger Federer"s record would never be broken but the man from Spain is getting awfully close.
He, along with John McEnroe suggest that another injury lay-off would be the only obstacle in Nadal"s way hindering him from accomplishing even greater heights and record breaking wins.
"If Nadal stays healthy until he"s 30 he"s going to get to 17", the former US Open champion Becker said. American John McEnroe, who has always been an outspoken ambassador of the Sport, said that if the Spaniard stays healthy, he can easily win 4 or 5 more Grand Slam titles.
"To me, he"s better than ever", McEnroe added for BBC. .
