Nick Kyrgios couldn't do anything but notice Rafael Nadal's quotes towards him. A week ago, the Spaniard said Nick could become the world no.
1 and win a Grand Slam title, which says a lot about Kyrgios's potential. The Australian player preferred to write an ironic tweet commenting on these remarks. 'I guess Nadal doesn't understand that I'm a waste of talent,' tweeted Kyrgios, who reached his best result at Grand Slam at the 2014 Wimbledon and 2015 Australian Open losing both times in the quarter-finals respectively to Milos Raonic and Andy Murray.
Nadal had also praised Thanasi Kokkinakis' talent.
'In this new generation you will need to see how Kokkinakis will evolve, he suffered an injury and we don't know how he will comeback, but he has the potential to be at the top. To me the one that has more chances is Zverev, a complete player in every aspect of the game.
I think he will be one of the strongest players.'ALSO READ: Mark Philippoussis: 'Kyrgios can't change who he is' .
