There is much respect between Rafael Nadal and Grigor Dimitrov. They trained together in Mallorca in July for a week and in the past they had some amazing battles. Last time they plaued against each other, the Bulgarian prevailed, in Beijing last year, but now it's a very different situation especially because Nadal is playing a great tennis again.

About the semifinal with the World No. 1, Dimitrov said: 'He is a good guy and it's a pleasure and honour to play against him, but the Friendship is outside the court. When we are on court, we won't be that friendly.

He is one of the best competitors, I like to be around him. Obviously he is very confident after being World No. 1 again. It will be an interesting battle.' Nadal leads head to head meetings by 8-1, Dimitrov only won last year in Beijing.

The most recent meeting was played at the Australian Open, with Nadal winning in five sets after five hours. ALSO READ: Nadal, Zverev and Thiem lead packed field at 2018 Mexican Open in Acapulco .
