On Wednesday 10th May Roger Federer was supposed to announce if he will play Roland Garros or not. The Swiss player has not taken a definitive decision yet, but on the same days some important signs came. The professional player Antoine Bellier shared on his Twitter account a photo featuring him with Federer and Ivan Ljubicic after a practice session on an hard-court in Dubai.
What? Hard court in mid-May? Yes, this year it's a normal thing for Federer, who after the Miami title won he had said that would have trained on hard at least until May 10, before deciding if switching to clay or not.
And it seems that in a few hours he will start training on clay. We have two good reasons to assure you it: on Twitter Bellier wrote 'Thanks guys for this amazing week', which makes intend that his practice with Federer ended.
And then there is a very important news revealed by L'Equipe: through Roland Garros organizers, Roger ordered 36 cans special of clay-courts Babolat balls to start his practice on this surface. If everything goes well - because it could also go bad, as a month ago Federer said that his knee was strange last year on clay - he will play the second Grand Slam event of the season, where he could really have some chance to do some damage as Djokovic and Murray are not playing their best tennis.
