Jonas Bjorkman: 'Everyone already handed trophy to Federer, but...'- View: 38811 by Gatto Luigi
Jonas Bjorkman is aware that everyone thinks Roger Federer will win his eighth Wimbledon title against Marin Cilic on Sunday in the final, but the Swedish coach thinks his player can nave his chances. Cilic beat Federer only once, at the 2014 US Open, and lost the other six previous meetings.
'The media and everyone seem to have already handed Roger the trophy, and that's a good situation for us. I've thought all along here that Marin has a chance after how he played on the clay and how he has done on the grass.
He has shown before that he knows how to beat Roger and how to win a Grand Slam', Bjorkman said. Throughtout the tournament Federer has not been losing any set, while Cilic got past Muller in five sets and Querrey in four.
'Of course Roger has been playing well on his favourite court, but he is not unbeatable. Marin has to serve well but another important thing is that he has to show in his positive body language that he believes he can win.
I think that he can and he does have the weapons to cause a lot of problems', Bjorkman said. .
