Fabrice Martin, a doubles oriented player, says playing tennis two-on-two has its good side. Martin is currently the doubles world number 37 on the ATP Doubles Rankings list. His career high ranking saw him sitting at the 33rd place on the list.

The French tennis player captured two ATP doubles titles so far in his career, both with his partner Oliver Marach in 2016; Delray Beach and Chennai. ''It (doubles) is a way to progress much faster at all levels,'' said Martin to Le Parisien.

The 30-year-old Martin has never won an ATP title in singles. The 228th position achieved in 2012 was his career best ranking in one-on-one game. Martin revealed that he ''stagnated and at one point thought'' he was going to retire and ''maybe end up giving courses.'' The 2016 Delray Beach champion earned $526,204 thus far in his career.

In the 2016 season, he earned $263,518 just from playing doubles. Source: Le Parisien Also read: Pierre-Hugues Herbert eyeing to become a top-50 player in singles .
