Garbine Muguruza won her second Grand Slam title beating Venus Williams 7/5 6/0 in the Wimbledon final. The Spaniard player had lost the previous final played at the All England Club against Venus' sister Serena, but she was very confident heading into this year's final. 'Two years ago I lost in the final to Serena and she told me that one day I was going to maybe win & Hey, 2 years after I am!', Muguruza revealed. 'I always come very motivated to the Grand Slams.

Since I lost the final here, I wanted to change that. I came thinking, 'I'm prepared, I feel good.' During the tournament and the matches, I was feeling better and better. Every match, I was increasing my level. I think today, I played well.' Everything worked perfectly during those two weeks: '(It) is very hard to find a recipe to feel good fitness-wise, tennis-(wise), mentally.

I think in this tournament I put everything together, which is very hard', added the 23-year-old, who was coached by the Fed Cup captain Conchita Martinez and not her main coach Sam Sumyk as he became father and landed to Los Angeles.

'Obviously, I like Conchita to be in my team because I have a great relation with her. We were very excited ... - the coincidence of her (beating) Navratilova, me (beating) Venus.. was, like, awesome.' Did that mean winning the title without Sumyk had given Muguruza extra confidence? 'No, definitely not...

I was talking with him every day... We've done a very good job before.. I guess (him and Martinez) is a combination.' Speaking about what if feels like to be in the first positions of the rankings and winning Major titles, Muguruza replied: 'I've been No.2 and No.3, and I felt how it is to win a Grand Slam and there is no comparison.

Having the trophy, having to win the seven matches, it's a different feeling. I don't know how it is to be No.1', admitted Garbine, who will be World No. 5 by next week. 'Hopefully one day I can and I can compare.

But for now I would rather be No.10 and win Grand Slams than to be No.1. I'd rather focus on going to the next tournament trying to win and then I will be No.1. Because if I keep playing good and earning matches and tournaments I will have the chance eventually.

But it's a consequence. I'm not thinking I have to be No.1.' She was finally asked who would she like to dance with on Sunday night: 'Roger. I really like Cilic but I wanna see how elegant Roger is dancing.' ALSO READ: Garbine Muguruza: 'I have more confidence thanks to Conchita Martinez' .
