Experienced Fed Cup campaigner Casey Dellacqua recently expressed confidence in Australia’s chances of qualifying for the World Group. Australia have a shot at a place in the World Group if they are to beat Ukraine in the playoffs when they host the Ukraine in Canberra on grass from February 10-11.
"That top eight is a big motivating factor and this tie is really important because it means we get to play-off to get back into the World Group which is a priority for all of us," Dellacqua said. "I certainly believe as a team we're one of the top eight teams in the world and that's where we belong, our goal will be to come here and win and I know we can do it.” She further spoke about her teammates, saying, "Sam has led the way for many years, she's been in the top 20 for many years which is a phenomenal achievement, but it's great to see Ash and Dasha putting their mark on Australian women's tennis too. "They're great role models for women in sport and on the back of the Australian Open hopefully the girls have some good results over the summer and we can come winning as a team in Canberra."
