Tiburon Challenger: Peter Polansky reaches the Final after dismissing Tim Smyczek

Peter Polansky booked his place in the Final of the Tiburon Challenger in Cali where he will face the winner of the Matthew Ebden/Denis Kudla clash, who are competing in the tournament"s second Semi-Final. Polansky was the biggest jumper in the Singles ranking system (moving 6 spots up to world no.222) as compared to his compatriots Milos Raonic, Vasek Pospisil, Frank Dancevic, Jesse Levine and Steven Diez, who were all unable to move 4 places up.

He recently lost to the Aussie Sam Groth in R2 of the Sacramento Challenger but he quickly recovered form in Cali.

He defeated the American Tim Smyczek 6-4 7-6(4) in the Semi-Final. .
