Tennis - 31-year-old Pablo Cuevas, ranked 27th in the world in singles and 22nd in doubles, will not play the Cincinnnati Masters as he is due to become a father for the second time. Cuevas posted a message on his Twitter account, stating that he will not play in Cincinnati as he will be expecting a new member of the family in the coming days.

The Spaniard also missed the Toronto event and last played at the ATP event in Kitzbuhel at the end of July, where he picked up his third ATP doubles title of the season. Cuevas also won the ATP singles event in Rio de Janerio earlier this year - his sixth ATP singles title of the season.

Other ATP players who have become a father in 2017 include Fabio Fognini, Jo-Wilfried Tsonga, Marcus Willis, Taylor Fritz, Paul Henri Mathieu and Nicolas Almagro.

Esta vez x la MEJOR razón voy a estar ausente en Master1000 de Cincinnatti.

En los próximos días llega una nueva integrante a la familia 👶 — Pablo Cuevas (@PabloCuevas22) August 10, 2017
