The female ranking, made based on the cashed prize money during 2012, presents some differences compared to the current WTA ranking. For example Angelique Kerber, who currently occupies the 5th world position, is just ninth in the annual earning ranking.

Also among the very first positions some exchange has happened, Serena Williams is indeed before the beautiful Maria Sharapova in terms of prize money. Higher the takings on court, than the obtained points, for Petra Kvitova.

The differences remain though little. Here the ranking based on the sums won in 2012 ( prizes are expressed in million dollars) :

We now pass to analyze the ATP. No surprise, the two rankings travels at same peace differently from the WTA circuit. We notice an important gap, in terms of dollars, between Novak Djokovic and Roger Federer who he’s also well distanced by Andy Murray.

A note about the Career Prize Money.
Roger Federer holds on tight the first place, the Swiss earned exclusively in won prizes ( excluded partner ships) 76 million dollars; at second place Rafael Nadal at quote 50 million dollars, the Spanish will soon have to watch his back, Novak Djokovic is crunching million on million and he’s at quote 46,5 million dollars.

The three hail monsters of the current tennis precede Pete Sampras, Andre Agassi and Boris Becker. He shiny overlooks at seventh place the Scottish Andy Murray who over came in the current season, also thanks to the victory at Us Open, his coach Ivan Lendl.
