Tennis: Former World No.1 Victoria Azarenka has reached the Quarterfinals of the Rogers Cup in Montreal and has set up a clash with World No.5 Agnieszka Radwanska.
The 2-time Australian Open champion Azarenka has fallen down to the 11th place in the WTA rankings after starting the year at No.2 .
She has reached her first Quarterfinals since reaching the last 8 of the Australian Open in January. She played only 4 tournaments between Australian Open and Montreal due to injury. Azarenka wasily brushed aside the British qualifier Heather Watson in straight sets 6-2, 6-4 in the 3rd round match.
Radwanska was up against the 2013 Wimbledon finalist Sabine Lisicki. They had last met in the 2013 Wimbledon semifinal, when Lisicki had won 9-7 in the deciding set. This time Radwanska won the first set 6-1 easily but the German levelled it at one set all by winning the second set 6-3.
In the third set Radwanska got the momentum back and won it 6-3 to move into the last 8. Wozniacki dropped just one game against the American qualifier Shelby Rogers and won 6-1, 6-0 to set up a Quarterfinals match with the World No.1 Serena Williams.
