Tennis: Top seeds Cara Black and Sania Mirza are through to the semifinals of the doubles event of Toray Pan Pacific Open in Tokyo by beating the former world No.1 Martina Hingis and her young and talented partner Belinda Bencic 6-4, 6-2.

17-year-old Belinda Bencic is a rising star from Switzerland and making a mark from an early age, just like Hingis did almost two decades back. Hingis had won the 1996 Wimbledon doubles title at the age of 15 and went on to win 9 women's doubles, 5 singles and 1 mixed doubles Grand Slam titles.

33-year-old Hingis reached the final of the US Open women's doubles event just over a week back and had beaten Sania Mirza and Cara Black in the semifinals. But she was partnering Flavia Pennetta there. Sania Mirza and Cara Black are one win away from reaching their 7th final together.

They are vying for their fourth title together, second of the year. Second seeds Abigail Spears and Raquel Kops-Jones are also through to the semifinals with a 6-3, 4-6, 13-11 win over Dominika Cibulkova and Kirsten Flipkens.
