Tennis - Italian Sara Errani has said that tests revealed that she was suffering from a shortage of iron in her blood, which was the reason for her feeling weak and lethargic in the past few months. The former French Open finalist said that she was unable to train at Indian Wells and Miami and after the test results, she started working with her doctors and nutritionists, adding that the problem is common to people from her region.
The 18th ranked Italian said she had the same problem two years ago when she lost to Andrea Petkovic in the French Open semi-finals in 2014. According to TennisWorld Italia, Errani arrives in Rome feeling fitter and more confident and says she is ready to compete once again.
"I come here with a great desire to play. I played a few games lately, but I'm training well. Even if in Madrid I played only one match, I am satisfied of the week and how they are going the things." Errani meets a qualifier in the first round and could meet Australian Open champion Angelique Kerber in the third round.
