Maria Sharapova and Sam Stosur, two of the biggest hitters in women's tennis, got a huge boost of confidence ahead of the French Open as they both reached the final of the Italian Open in Rome. Sharapova reached her second final of the year after Miami with a 7-5, 6-3 win over world no.
1 Caroline Wozniacki, rallying to win the last 5 games of the semi-final. The Russian is aiming for her first title since Strasbourg in May 2010. In the final, Sharapova will take a 7-0 head-to-head record against Aussie Sam Stosur who beat China's Li Na 7-6, 6-0, but it will be their first meeting on clay.
