2005 - Marius made professional debut at Romania F16 Futures

2006 - 3 Futures matches and a Challenger debut in Medellin

2007 - Copil won his first pro title at Romania F16 Futures

2008 - Another Futures crown in Romania, in the same week as 12 months ago

2009 - 2 Futures finals and 3 semi-finals

2010 - Won Guatemala F1 Futures and reached the final of Cremona Challenger as a qualifier, finishing the season inside the Top 300

2011 - He opened the season with Futures final and a Challenger crown in Kazan, beating 3 Germans in a row en route to the title. Played in another Futures final in May but the rest of the season was very poor

2012 - Failed to defend his Kazan title, losing to Jurgen Zopp in the final, and he advanced to the last 4 in Marburg and Timisoara. Another semi-final in Geneva with ATP wins in Bucharest, Beijing, and Stockholm

2013 - Won Challenger in Quimper and qualified for Masters 1000 event in Miami. He was beaten finalist in Arad and Guimaraes and he reached the semi-final in Geneva for the second straight year

2014 - Kicked off the season with a quarter-final run in Brisbane, as a qualifier, and he won Masters 1000 match in Madrid. He reached the last 8 in Stockholm as well but that couldn't bring him much, as he struggled to grab big points on the Challenger Tour

2015 - Qualified for the Australian Open and lost in the second round to Wawrinka. s-Hertogenbosch quarter-final and a final in Izmir Challenger

2016 - Marius qualified for the main draw and reached the final in Surbiton Challenger on grass and he qualified for Wimbledon as well. Reached the quarter-final in Antwerp before losing to Goffin and he concluded the season with a solid indoor run in Challengers, winning the title in Budapest and dropping the final in Bratislava

2017 - 8 ATP wins and the first finish inside the Top 100. He won a match in Dubai and Madrid, with back-to-back Challenger semi-finals on grass. In the closing stages of the year, Copil advanced to the last 8 in Metz and he played in final of Kaohsiung and Bratislava Challengers, losing in Brest semi-final to Tistsipas in 2 tie breaks
