After Zach Johnson and Fred Couples, Davis Love III - captain of the US team at the Presidents Cup in September 2022 - has completed his staff with the appointment of Webb Simpson and Steve Stricker as his other assistants towards the challenge to the International Team (European players excluded) which will take place at the Quail Hollow Club in Charlotte.

Stricker, who led the United States to the 2017 Presidents Cup, was also the US captain at the 2021 Ryder Cup in Wisconsin. While Simpson, who played the Presidents Cup in 2011, 2013 and 2019, will have the advantage of knowing every secret of the Quail Hollow Club of which he is a member.

He finished in the top ten seven times. And was named comeback of the year by the PGA. The following year, Stricker was able to add another tournament to his honors list for the first time since 2001. The most successful year for Stricker so far is 2009. In that year he won three tournaments. In 2010 he was fourth on the Official World Golf Ranking.
