Ryder Cup, the tickets are selling like cakes

The Italian edition of the Ryder Cup is one year away and the expectation is rising for the most important challenge in the world of golf: the one between Europe and the United States which, from 29 September to 1 October 2023, will be held in Rome, on the Marco course.

Simone Golf & Country Club. The countdown marks -365 days and, from 3 to 5 October 2022, in the Eternal City there will be the 'Year to go' celebrations, organized by Ryder Cup Europe and Federgolf.

First a visit by the two captains - Luke Donald for the Old Continent and Zach Johnson for the USA - to the Marco Simone Golf & Country Club where hundreds of young students will also be waiting for them.

But not only that: a match-exhibition is scheduled which will feature some talents of the Italian national golf team and several Paralympic players, for an increasingly inclusive sport. Donald and Johnson will play a hole with them, the number 17 of Marco Simone.

Then, on October 4th, they will take a symbolic tee-shot from the Temple of Venus, facing the Colosseum. A postcard for Rome and Italy that responds to France which in 2018 transformed the Eiffel Tower into a sort of green.

In the afternoon of October 4th there will also be the first joint conference of the two captains. The three-day show will end with a visit to the Vatican, with a private audience with the Pope. In the meantime, the sale is proceeding at full speed to attend the big event next year where about 250,000 people are expected.
