After a bone-chilling fortnight regarding the fight tied to the world No. 1, the PGA Tour observes a moment of lull in that regard. In fact, the first 13 positions in the global ranking will be unchanged with the Honda Classic, which has been held on the Champion Course of the PGA National Resort in Palm Beach Gardens since 2007.

Curiously, there have never been players here able to win more than twice than Jack Nicklaus, Johnny Miller, Mark Calcavecchia and Padraig Harrington.

Austrian Sepp Straka defends the title, who opened the best year of his career last year by beating Irishman Shane Lowry, in which he reached a playoff playoff on two occasions and lost it in both cases.

Just the former winner of the Open Championship (it was 2019) can legitimately aspire to win on this occasion. However, he is not the only one with important ambitions. Eighth two years ago right here, the South Korean Sungjae Im aims to start with the fine-tuning of his golf in view of a Masters that can legitimately see him among the great contenders for the Green Jacket.

However, many men are able to do it; among them we can certainly point out Matt Kuchar, not a regular visitor to this event, but who has ample opportunity to be able to bend it to his own will as he did in 2002. Due to the multiplicity of similar denominations, it is good to explain what the PGA Tour does and does not do.

The PGA Tour does not operate any of the major four tournaments or the Ryder Cup. The PGA of America, not the PGA Tour, organizes the PGA Championship, the Senior PGA Championship, and co-organises the Ryder Cup with the PGA European Tour.

The PGA Tour is not involved in the women's tours of the United States, which are controlled by the LPGA. Furthermore, the PGA Tour is not the official body that regulates the game of golf in the United States: this is instead the role of the USGA, which also organizes the U.S.

open. Instead, what the PGA Tour does is organize all the rest of the golf events week after week, including The Players Championship and the FedEx Cup as well as the biennial Presidents Cup.
