"Following the advice of my doctor and the guidance of my physical therapist, we put in countless hours of treatment at home and on the road to try to keep my body healthy and ready to race each week," Korda wrote.

"Unfortunately, we've gotten to the point where the pain isn't getting better, forcing me to have to withdraw from several tournaments. As a competitor, it's annoying to have to do this over and over again," she lamented. "On the advice of my medical team, I have made the difficult decision to stop playing until my back is fully healed.

At this time we do not have a firm timeline for my return, but I am working with the best specialists to return as soon as possible." he commented. Korda, 30, has won six times on the LPGA Tour but hasn't since January 2021.

His last tournament was the Cognizant Founders Cup earlier this month and he retired after posting a 72 in the first round. She currently occupies the 31st position in the world ranking.
