On the Taberna Country Club course in New Bern, 144 athletes will compete for the title over the distance of 54 holes with cut after the first 36.

Of the ten best of the Race For The Card (order of merit), only the American Kathleen Scavo (n. 6) and the Chinese Miranda Wang (n. 7) will be absent from the field. The spotlight is therefore on the current number 1, Gabriela Ruffels, 13th in the last tournament, looking for her third victory of the season.

Chances also for the Malaysian Natasha Andrea Onn, (n. 2), classified seventh at the Inova Mission Inn, and for the French Agathe Laisne and the American Gigi Stoll, respectively third and fourth.

Special mention for golfer Kate Smith who will live a singular experience: the American athlete will in fact play on the course that she designed herself.

Smith graduated from the University of Nebraska with a BA in Graphic Design and is in her second year on the Epson Tour. During Covid-19, Kate and her partner Shane Bacon started a golf graphic design company called Ground Under Repair Design.

The Minnesota native has yet to score an Epson Tour win since her rookie year in 2022, but she still managed two top-ten finishes in 2023. Roberta Liti confirmed her excellent form with two consecutive second and fourth places.

The blue, eighth in the 2023 Money List, this year in the six tournaments played on the Epson Tour has never gone beyond 17th place, and she has all the credentials to continue to amaze. Seventh appointment of the year for the young Angelica Moresco who is doing well in her first year on the tour.

The prize pool is $200,000, $30,000 of which will go to the winner. North Carolina is a state in the Southeastern United States with a very varied landscape, ranging from the beaches of the Atlantic Ocean to the Appalachian mountain range.

Charlotte, the largest city, is home to the Carolina Panthers football team and museums such as the NASCAR Hall of Fame. The state motto (“First in Flight”) pays homage to the Wright brothers, who first flew their Kitty Hawk plane over the Outer Banks, shorelines filled with renowned beaches.
