Pavan, statements
"It was a tough battle, but I made it after a not so exciting start. I dedicate this victory to my wife. The goal is to get back on the DP World Tour", Pavan delighted. 117 days from the Italian Ryder Cup, scheduled from 29 September to 1 October in Rome, on the course of the Marco Simone Golf & Country Club, the blue movement, as underlined by the FIG president Franco Chimenti, is growing rapidly.
"I am very happy, after Manassero we have found another great champion like Pavan. Theirs is a similar story, of two athletes who have lived through a complicated moment and who are now finding the satisfaction they deserve.
I hope to see them again soon playing against the best tour the world, because they have all the capabilities", the happiness of Chimenti. Third after the first lap, second halfway through the race, Pavan took the lead at the end of the "moving day".
Then, he started the last 18 holes uphill, with two bogeys, a birdie and a double bogey in the first five plays. But when everything seemed to get complicated here is the turning point with six birdies (of which three consecutive), decisive, between the 6th and 13th hole.
The feat allowed him to leap from 23rd to 4th position of the "Road to Mallorca ", the order of merit of the Challenge Tour which, at the end of the season, will see the best 20 players land on the DP World Tour. Pavan also celebrated his fifth career success on the Challenge Tour, his first since September 2013 (Open Blue Green Cotes d'Amor Bretagne).
In his palmares also two affirmations on the DP World Tour, the first arrived in 2018 in the Czech Republic and in the D + D Real Czech Masters. With a dry mouth since June 2019 (BMW International Open), Pavan can go back to rejoicing.
