Lucas Glover and his impressions after FedEx St. Jude Championship victory

The FedEx St Jude Classic was won by Lucas Glover in a dramatic play-off over Patrick Cantlay to make it back-to-back wins on the PGA Tour for Lucas Glover. Glover has once again demonstrated that he is in great shape and that he is capable of fighting anyone.

The tournament was a tough one, but Glover managed to stay focused and win the tournament despite the difficulties, which he described in a post-tournament press conference. "Closing holes here aren't easy birdies, and aren't easy pars really under pressure, so it was just keep fighting, stay close, stay close, and I was fortunate to get in a playoff," Glover said, as quoted by skysports.com "I said [after the third round] the guns would be coming, and they came.

I was just last man standing this week."

Lucas Glover believes in himself

The fact that Glover has achieved so many things in the last few weeks has left him in shock. In spite of the fact that he did not expect it to be possible, he never doubted himself or his abilities.

“If you would have told me this three months ago, I'd tell you you're crazy,” Glover continued. “But at the same time, if you asked me legitimately did I think I was capable, I'd say yes, even then." Even when it is the most difficult, it is necessary to believe in yourself and your qualities.

This is the only way to achieve success. Glover knew that if he wanted to be successful, he had nothing left but to hope and be an optimist. “It's just one of those sad ways athletes are wired. We always believe in ourselves no matter how bad it is.

I never gave that up, but in the middle of May, it was hard to go to the range some days and hard to work. But we pushed through and did it anyway”.
