While American captain Zach Johnson is due to reveal his six picks on Tuesday at 4 p.m. (French time) to complete the American Ryder Cup team that will challenge Europe in Italy in a month, Brooks Koepka's wife is betting on a place for his husband !
Former world number one and winner of the PGA Championship Major this season, Brooks Koepka was ranked 7th in the American rankings for the Ryder Cup when designating the six automatically qualified players. A qualification would therefore be quite logical...
but the Floridian chose to succumb to the sirens of LIV a year ago, making a possible selection by the American captain's choices perilous. Zach Johnson will have to decide on Tuesday at 4 p.m. (French time) to reveal his six choices, which are particularly uncertain.
Despite his wobbly situation, Brooks Koepka is necessarily one of the favorites, especially since the LIV and the PGA Tour have buried the hatchet... (a priori).
Brooks Koepka's wife, statements
In this moment of uncertainty, the wife of Brooks Koepka (who has just had a baby with the five-time Major winner this summer) has in any case revealed that the couple believed in it with a post on social networks.
We see Koepka eating a pizza (the Ryder Cup will be played in Italy) on a plate with the American flag. Jena Sims even added the words "warning sign" and IYKYK which means "if you know, you know"! For now, Scottie Scheffler, Wyndham Clark, Max Homa, Patrick Cantlay, Brian Harman and Xander Schauffele are automatically qualified.
A great team on paper, but lacking in experience with a total of three selections between them… as many as Brooks Koepka alone!
