LIV Golfers were not allowed to play for the European team this season. Many of them were frustrated by such a decision, but they also knew that joining LIV Golf could lead to such consequences. However, they all decided to send messages via X (Twitter) or other social media.

It's clear that everyone loved being a part of the team, but sometimes you have to take things as they are. Lee Westwood is one of the first to react to the victory of the European team. He answered a fan's question; Does he miss being on course? "You know, I don’t (miss being a part of it).

(It's the) first time I’ve watched one for 28
years, and I enjoyed the different perspective, but knowing what I know now."
- Westwood wrote. Ian Poulter congratulated the team on their great success. He is aware of how important this is to everyone within the team.

"I couldn't be more proud to see this great team win back the Ryder Cup. You just don't see emotion like it at any other event. Enjoy the night, lads, and congratulations."- he wrote on Instagram.

Garcia and McDowell reacted

Sergio Garcia also had an interesting reaction.

The congratulatory message was obviously not in the forefront of his mind, and he already sees himself in the next edition, 2025. "2025 Ryder Cup at Bethpage. Captain Tiger Woods vs. Captain Sergio Garcia," Graeme McDowell seems to be most frustrated by the fact that he is not part of the team.

Graeme also stressed that he accepted this fact long ago. “I knew the consequences of the potential downside and not being able to be a Ryder Cup captain and part of the Ryder Cup ecosystem. I made my peace with that a long time ago.

I’m disappointed it has turned out this way and fracturing the sport. I hope there are better times ahead for the world of golf. I’ve been the vice-captain twice, and I feel I could bring a lot to the European team,” he said.
