Sihwan Kim fell short of his season goals in LIV Golf, and it's fair to say that his year has been rather disappointing. Kim acknowledges that his current form isn't at its best, and he currently finds himself in the relegation zone.
Nevertheless, he has an opportunity to secure a return to LIV Golf by participating in a promotional event at the end of this month. Kim is a member of Kevin Na's IronHeads, and Na had nothing but words of praise for Kim during a recent press conference.
Despite a challenging season, Na expressed his pride in Kim's determination. "Sihwan has had a tough year. I played with him last week on Sunday and I saw his game improve quite a bit. It's been difficult to watch. But I'd say for a guy who has gone through a rough year like this, he's been the best sport I've ever seen.
He's been working hard. Every time, even though he's played poorly, he's tried every shot."- Na said, as quoted by golfmagic.com!
Kevin Na hopes Kim will be back on the team
Kevin Na emphasized that Kim was not a part of LIV Golf by chance.
His qualities could be seen on the Asian Tour, which he won. Now he will have the chance to come back again. "I give him props for that and his game is coming around. We saw him last year, how well he played in Thailand and what he's capable of, and winning The Asian Tour International Series money title.
We always tell him that, look, you're probably going to go win one of those Q-School and be back on the team." During their joint adventure at LIV Golf, Na and Kim became great friends. Their friendship will remain strong, regardless of whether Kim is back or not.
Kevin Na wished him luck and is hoping for the best. "And if he doesn't, we are still going to be friends. We are already talking about seeing him in Korea when we go over there and having a good time. I think the friendship is going to last forever. But we wish him the best and we hope to see him back on the team."
