PGA Tour leaders are still negotiating with PIF, and it seems that the agreement, which should have been completed by December 31, could be signed next year. It is obvious that there are many things about which the PGA Tour and the PIF must find a common language.

Meetings between PGA and LIV require a lot of negotiations, and it is necessary for many to be patient. Jay Monahan confirmed this; "If you saw the amount of conversation and the time that the PGA Tour, DP World Tour and PIF are spending working forward from a framework to a definitive, I think you would see the sincerity of the efforts there," he said during a press conference at the Tour Championship.

Davis Love III

Speaking to Golfweek, Davis Love III somewhat sparked rumors that this deal would have to fall through. Namely, there are many obstacles that exist. Love III believes the deal won't materialize for many reasons golf fans don't know.

He does not understand why the golf scene is experiencing such things, and he is not a huge optimist about the future. "It's just like the lawsuit," Love said. "We're never going to go to trial if they don't ever do discovery.

Our staff and players did discovery. They refused. We made an offer and if you don't ever communicate, we can't make another offer. It's bizarre what's going on. It's a long way from anything. The sharks are circling. Now everyone wants to invest in the PGA Tour." The PGA Tour is focused on the future, and they strive to create an environment in which golfers will have favorable conditions for development, and they also want to provide the fans with what they want.

“It’s forced us to take a look at what has been going on for 53 years and think about what the next 50 years will look like,” he said. “How do we set up our company to be ready for the future?”
