PGA Tour – Butterfield Bermuda Championship From November 9-12, the PGA Tour champions will be at the Butterfield Bermuda Championship.
The competition will take place at the Port Royal Golf Course in Southampton, Bermuda. This is the fifth consecutive year that the event has been held at the Port Royal Golf Course. The Butterfield Bermuda Championship is the penultimate event of the Fall FedEx Cup and the 2022-23 season.
This game is critical because the top 125 in the FedEx Cup Fall standings after next week's RSM Classic will retain their status as exempt players for 2024. The Tour veterans, who will compete for points and important positions, will be joined by the fifteen-year-old Oliver Betschart.
Betschart is a local golf prodigy who earned his spot through a 54-hole local qualifier, one of three Bermudians to qualify. The young star who last year became the youngest winner of the Port Royal Golf Club Championship will become the second 15-year-old to compete in the event in the last four years.
When he hits his tee shot Thursday, Betschart will become the youngest player to play on the PGA Tour since 2014 and the fifth youngest since 2000. Among the other champions in the field, we can mention: Adam Scott who will play for the second time in the FedEx Cup Fall after the 41st place obtained at the ZOZO CHAMPIONSHIP.
This is his debut in Bermuda. Scott has four top-ten finishes this season, including a fifth-place finish at the Wells Fargo Championship. Lucas Glover who will play for the second consecutive week in the FedEx Cup Fall. Glover, a two-time winner on Tour this season, has a good feeling for Port Royal, where he won the 2009 Grand Slam of Golf.
Glover and Scott are two of five major champions on the course, in addition to Stewart Cink, Jason Dufner and Jimmy Walker. Camilo Villegas, the 54-hole co-leader of the World Wide Technology Championship, will travel to Bermuda to try to improve on his performance from last week.
The Port Royal Golf Course is a par 71 that also hosted the Grand Slam of Golf from 2009 to 2014. By PGA Tour standards the course is short, but it is actually the longest course in Bermuda. The changes in altitude and the winds from the sea, in addition to the unpredictability of the weather make it a challenging test for all the champions in the field.
Players will have a prize pool of $6,500,000 and 500 FedEx Cup points. DP World Tour – Nedbank Golf Challenge
From 9 to 12 November, the DP World Tour returns to South Africa where the Nedbank Golf Challenge will be played.
The race will take place at the Gary Player Country Club in Sun City. The 2023 Nedbank Golf Challenge is once again included in the DP World Tour calendar in partnership with Nedbank and Sun International. The players in the field will compete for a prize pool of $6,000,000 and 7,000 points in the R2DR.
There will be 66 players in the field including more than 40 DP World Tour winners and he will have more points for the Race to Dubai as it is the penultimate tournament of the season. Among the champions in the field are Rolex Series winners Ryan Fox and Victor Perez.
Frenchman Perez, who triumphed in the first Rolex Series event of the year at the Abu Dhabi HSBC Championship and New Zealander Fox, winner of the prestigious BMW PGA Championship, will join reigning champion Tommy Fleetwood, Major winners Justin Rose, Francesco Molinari and Justin Thomas and Ryder Cup stars Max Homa, Nicolai Højgaard and Robert MacIntyre.
Pole Adrian Meronk, who won for the third time in the Race to Dubai 2023 at Estrella Damm N.A. two weeks ago. Andalucía Masters, will enter the Nedbank Golf Challenge as the highest-ranked player in the Race to Dubai Rankings in Partnership with Rolex.
Last week's Commercial Bank Qatar Masters winner Sami Välimäki and runner-up Jorge Campillo will join two-time DP World Tour winner Vincent Norrman and Cazoo Open de France champion Ryo Hisatsune in Sun City , as well as the Danish pair Thorbjørn Olesen and Rasmus Højgaard, both winners in 2023.
