Tiger Woods surprised many by attending a crucial board meeting at PGA Tour HQ. This meeting marks a crucial stage as PGA Tour Enterprises seeks a key investment partner following the formation of the entity in June. Talks of a potential merger involving the PGA Tour, DP World Tour, and Saudi Public Investment Fund continue to reshape professional men's golf.

Some fear that it could be a bad thing for the golf scene, while many believe that a merger is currently the best solution for all parties. In any case, time will give the best answer. With Woods joining the PGA Tour's policy board, players now hold half of the 12-seat board, ensuring a significant say in the Tour's future.

Woods, alongside Rory McIlroy, is also gearing up to launch the tech-driven golf league (TGL) in January 2024.
Ongoing discussions persist between the PGA Tour, DP World Tour, and Saudi PIF regarding the potential merger.

The golf scene and its future

The situation on the golf scene is still not completely clear, and it is difficult to predict what will happen in the coming period. The merger between the PGA Tour, LIV Golf, and DP World Tour gives optimism that a better day awaits us.

However, on the other hand, the deal is not completed, and it is still not known when it will be completed. From the first day of the creation of LIV Golf, Tiger Woods stood by the PGA Tour and provided enormous support to the Tour, in which he lived his best days.

He hasn't forgotten all that the PGA Tour gave him. Tiger never once thought about leaving the PGA Tour and joining LIV Golf. Also, his colleague, Rory McIlroy, remained consistent with his views and tradition. The PGA Tour wants to do big things in the future.

Tiger Woods can be a huge help to them in achieving many goals. Of course, we must not forget Rory McIlroy, who has been one of the main ambassadors of the PGA Tour since day one. He is probably the golfer who feels the greatest animosity towards LIV Golf.
