"I know OKC [Oklahoma City] would’ve loved the event so hopefully one day we’ll get a LIV event there for the #405."

The 2024 LIV Golf schedule is out, featuring new stops in Las Vegas and Hong Kong, plus a fresh venue in the UK. However, one notable absence is Oklahoma, particularly Gaillardia Country Club, which Talor Gooch criticized as "completely unreasonable" to work with during negotiations.

LIV dropped several US destinations, including Tulsa, where Cedar Ridge Country Club hosted an event in the previous season. Despite efforts to move the event to Oklahoma City, Gooch disclosed that they couldn't make it happen this year.

Gooch confirmed via social media where the main problem arose. "For my Oklahoma people- we busted our tail trying to work with @ConcertGolf to get an event at Gaillardia and they weren’t tough to work with, they were completely unreasonable," Gooch posted on X.

However, Gooch wants to be optimistic and hopes that things will be better in the future. "I know OKC [Oklahoma City] would’ve loved the event so hopefully one day we’ll get a LIV event there for the #405."

Greg Norman and his goals

LIV Golf CEO Greg Norman is excited about the upcoming season and the events that await us.

Every year, LIV Golf strives to make changes that will cause excitement among fans and golfers alike. Norman is a man who has always had high goals and strived to achieve them. "We’re thrilled to announce an exciting slate of events that reflects our commitment to bringing world-class players and premier competition to new and repeat markets every year," LIV Golf CEO Greg Norman said, as quoted by golfmonthly.com!

“Launching a new league is a massive undertaking, and we’re full steam ahead building off our incredibly successful first full season in 2023. Our goal has always been to create a worldwide league that inspires progress and attracts new fans to the sport that we love. LIV Golf is stronger than ever, and next season will accomplish that goal and more”.
