With just one tournament alongside Tiger Woods, after an eight-month break, it was enough for him to rejoin the top 1,000 players in the world. The Hero World Challenge in the Bahamas guaranteed him 18th place and an improvement of 430 positions in the world ranking, going from 1,328 to number 898.

But he's not the only one smiling. Scottie Scheffler won the unofficial PGA Tour tournament in Albany, New Providence Island, obtaining first position in the 2023 world ranking. In second place is Rory McIlroy, followed by the Spaniard Jon Rahm.

The Azzurri are no exception either: Renato Paratore rose from position 438/a to 328/a thanks to his second place at the DP World Tour in South Africa, while Edoardo Manassero went from 386/o to 336/o placing. Francesco Laporta has made significant progress in the rankings, going from 448/o to 405/o.

Tiger Woods comes from a multicultural family. His mother, Kultida Woods, is from Thailand and his father, Earl Woods, was a lieutenant colonel in the United States Army. Tiger has three siblings: two half-brothers and a half-sister from his father's marriage to Barbara Woods Gary.

Even his name is a sign of recognition for his father and his Vietnamese friend Vuong Dang Phong, with whom his father fought in the Vietnam War. Everyone calls him Tiger, even though he's officially Eldrick. He was born in Cypress, California and grew up in the Los Angeles area.

Tiger was a natural at golf. After attending Western High School in Anaheim, he studied economics at the renowned Stanford University for two years before turning to professional sports and becoming the best golfer in the world.

In addition to his career as a professional athlete, Tiger Woods has also founded a foundation that is committed to promoting and supporting children and young people in the USA. His philanthropy reflects his values and dedication to the community.

Although his marriage to Swedish model Elin Nordegren ended, Tiger and his ex-wife share responsibility for raising children. In 2013, he announced that he was in a relationship with alpine skier Lindsey Vonn, but they later announced that they had broken up.

Tiger Woods lived a remarkable life and remains an icon of sports and philanthropy. His story will continue to inspire generations.
