The story of this 91-year-old player from Dublin who scored his first hole-in-one is great proof that there is no age limit for playing golf with passion. Willie Clinton achieved this feat on the Forrest Little Golf Club course, located north of the Irish capital.

It was during hole No. 11, a par 3, that the nonagenarian achieved his stroke of genius.

Hole in one, video

The video of his happiness when recovering his ball in the hole quickly went viral. His friends were there to encourage him and help him realize that this feat was indeed real.

Proof that golf is a sport accessible to all, regardless of age and physical barriers. The Rules of Golf are a set of standard rules and procedures that define the game of the sport. They are managed by the Royal & Ancient Golf Club of St.

Andrews, the world's leading authority, except for the United States and Mexico, which are regulated by the United States Golf Association. Periodically, a panel of experts from the R&A and USGA oversees and refines these rules.

The latest revision of the rules, in force since 1 January 2016, introduced changes aimed both at improving their understanding and reducing potential penalties to ensure the balance of the game. The book of rules, entitled "Rules of Golf", is published regularly and also contains provisions for amateurs.

In Italy, Federgolf has the task of enforcing these rules in tournaments, ensuring compliance with the rules by members and clubs, dealing with sporting justice and protecting national interests abroad. The rules of golf are relatively complex compared to other sports as the game takes place outdoors, in close contact with nature and the surrounding fauna.

The fundamental observance of the rules constitutes an essential pillar of golf, which is mainly based on the self-discipline and correct conscience of the players. However, distortions of the results often occur, sometimes even intentional but more often unconscious or due to carelessness, due to the players' failure to observe the rules.

Furthermore, golf follows a code of ethics, known as Etiquette, which implies that the game must be played with the right respect towards the playing field and other players. Etiquette represents an essential component of this sport.
