On accepting the esteemed accolade, Manning commented, "I am privileged to be awarded this honour, and my name listed alongside past recipients is humbling.

It is inspiring to see how golf can positively impact communities and make a difference in people's lives. This award is a remarkable encouragement to support and continue utilising golf for charitable purposes."

Manning is a passionate golf enthusiast and an ardent advocate for the game.

He has taken part in several charitable initiatives, such as serving as the Honorary Chairman of the 2023 U.S. Amateur Golf Championship held at Cherry Hills Country Club in Cherry Hills, Colorado. He also participated in the fundraising event "The Match: Champions for Charity" in May 2020, partnering with Tiger Woods to take on Tom Brady and Phil Mickelson, raising over $20 million for coronavirus relief.

Later in November 2020, Manning teamed up with NBA player and 2023 Ambassador of Golf Stephen Curry for "The Match: Champions for Change," a charity event that raised funds for Historically Black Colleges and Universities (HBCUs), competing against NBA Hall of Fame forward Charles Barkley and Phil Mickelson.

Additionally, Manning plays the Workday Memorial Pro-Am annually.

Manning's continued commitment to the sport and channeling its power to bring positive changes to society makes him a deserving recipient of the Ambassador of Golf Award.

PGA TOUR Commissioner Jay Monahan praised Peyton Manning, one of the most celebrated personalities in sports and entertainment, for his efforts to make golf more accessible to all.

As a result, Manning will receive the 2024 Ambassador of Golf award at next year's Kaulig Companies Championship. The event will be held at House 330 in Akron, Ohio and will feature dinner, entertainment, and an inside-the-ropes conversation with Manning.

The event will benefit Northern Ohio Golf Charities Foundation.

Manning's philanthropic work has earned him numerous awards, including the Walter Payton Man of the Year Award and the Bart Starr Award. He is also a committed supporter of the Pat Summit Foundation, working with the non-profit to find a cure for Alzheimer's.

Manning's contribution to golf and his dedication to social causes make him a worthy recipient of the Ambassador of Golf award.

In 1999, Manning and his wife, Ashley, founded the PeyBack Foundation. Its mission is to provide support to programs that offer leadership and growth opportunities to disadvantaged youth, with the ultimate goal of promoting their success.

The foundation has proven to be a successful endeavour, providing grants and programs that have amounted to millions of dollars over the years.

In 2020, the PeyBack Foundation continued its efforts, endowing nine scholarships for three HBCU schools in Tennessee and five in Louisiana.

Manning himself has been an influential figure in promoting the Peyton Manning Children’s Hospital at St. Vincent, located in Indiana. His duties include serving as an ambassador for the hospital, advocating for its needs, and raising funds to expand its departments and services.

Manning's achievements extend beyond his philanthropic efforts.

He is one of the most highly-decorated players in NFL history, earning five Most Valuable Player titles and being selected for the Pro Bowl an impressive fourteen times. His proficiency as a quarterback has resulted in his ranking among the greatest players in NFL history, with a record of leading in nearly every statistical passing category.

Manning's remarkable achievements have earned him a spot in the Pro Football Hall of Fame, Class of 2021.

He was inducted in August of that year, cementing his status as a first-ballot Hall of Fame selection and recognising his outstanding contributions to the sport.

Manning now joins the ranks of esteemed recipients of the Ambassador of Golf Award, a list which boasts names such as Chi Chi Rodriguez (1981), Bing Crosby (1982), Byron Nelson (1983), Gene Sarazen (1984), President Gerald Ford (1985), Bob Hope (1986), Dinah Shore (1987), Joe Dey (1988), Frank Chirkinian (1989), Barbara Nicklaus (1990), Arnold Palmer (1991), Nancy Lopez (1992), Roberto De Vicenzo (1993), President George H.W.
