Gary Woodland, who recently returned to golf after brain surgery, stayed positive despite missing the cut at the Sony Open. He underwent surgery to remove a brain lesion. Woodland expressed optimism for the future, even though he didn't make it to the weekend action in Hawaii. "Golf game was rusty. Saw a lot of good things, but I was rusty scoring-wise. The goal coming into this week was to see where I was mentally. It was beautiful. Really was."
