As we know, the second season of LIV Golf marked a turning point in team management. Starting last year, teams must be managed as real businesses, and Captains, in addition to being shareholders, are also the chief executives.

However, since their primary task is to compete on the field, it is logical that some of them consider entrusting day-to-day management to someone who can do it professionally. Well, Dustin Johnson has done just that. The 4 Aces GC Team has always been one of the most active on the business front, and it has once again demonstrated this.

DJ has announced that he has hired Chris Rosaasen as the general manager of the team, signing a multi-year contract, replacing David Cornwall. Rosaasen has been the CEO of Travis Mathew, a leading workwear and sports apparel brand (with a line specifically dedicated to golf), and is the founder of Extracurricular, an apparel brand that signed an agreement with 4 Aces in 2023.

The stated goal of this change is to enhance the team's brand. According to Sports Business Journal, Rosaasen is already in the process of closing two three-year contracts with two companies (one in the technology sector).

Each contract would guarantee an annual income ranging from $4 to $7 million. Rosaasen has stated that he expects the 4 Aces Team to generate profits starting in 2025. This is not the only team operating in this direction, and it is undeniable that the overall potential is enormous.

Considering the fact that LIV Golf holds a 75% stake in each team, the generation of profits would mean the beginning of the return on the substantial investment provided by the PIF and the affirmation of the business model strongly desired by the Saudi financiers.

Dustin Hunter Johnson, born on June 22, 1984, in Columbia, South Carolina, is an American golfer who competed on the PGA Tour starting in 2008, where he has achieved a total of 24 victories and 106 top 10 finishes. He currently plays in the Saudi league, LIV Tour.

In major tournaments, Johnson has won the U.S. Open in 2016 and the Masters Tournament in Augusta in 2020. Additionally, he finished second in the Open Championship in 2011 and the PGA Championship in 2019 and 2020. Among his victories, notable ones include the BMW Championship in 2010 and 2016, The Northern Trust in 2011, 2017, and 2020, the WGC-HSBC Champions in 2013, the WGC-Cadillac Championship in 2015, 2017, and 2019, the WGC-Bridgestone Invitational in 2016, the WGC Match Play in 2017, and the Tour Championship in 2020.

Moreover, he has participated in the Ryder Cup since 2010 and the Presidents Cup in 2011 for the U.S. team. Johnson was named the PGA of America and PGA Tour Player of the Year in 2016. He has spent over 250 weeks ranked in the top 10 of the Official World Golf Ranking and held the number 1 spot for 81 weeks from February 2017 to October 2018. Since 2012, he has been in a relationship with singer and model Paulina Gretzky, with whom he has two children.
