Tiger Woods made history last Friday by becoming the first player to successfully make 24 consecutive cuts at the Masters Tournament in Augusta. Following this feat, the 48-year-old Woods became optimistic about his chances of contending for the Green Jacket.

However, age catches up with everyone, even the great Tiger. From the start, it was clear that yesterday was not going to be his day: the 42 strokes he took in his first nine holes were already his worst results at Augusta National.

And things didn't improve much afterward: Woods carded an 82, his worst round at the Masters, surpassing his previous high scores of 78, both in 2022.

"From the beginning, I didn't have good feelings.

I didn't have a very good warm-up session, and that feeling stayed with me all day," Woods said. "I just hit the ball all over the places I know I shouldn't. And I missed a lot of putts. Easy, makeable putts that I ended up missing." "In reality, I haven't competed, or even played, much.

I made a putt on the fifth, quickly three-putted the sixth, and flubbed a chip on the seventh. I just played poorly, and when I had the chance to turn it around, I didn't," a dejected Woods affirmed. Nevertheless, Woods insisted that there were no plans to withdraw from the Masters before the fourth round.

"My team will prepare me," he said. Sunday will mark his 100th round at the Masters. There's no pleasure in watching him struggle and stumble in a place where he once dominated. If there are no last-minute changes, Woods will start his final round of this year's Masters Tournament in the third pairing of the day, at 3:35 PM (Spanish time), sharing the course with Neal Shipley. There are all the words of Tiger Woods after the third round.
