Thanks to a sensational -4 achieved in the final round, Scottie Scheffler extinguished any hopes of success from his opponents, securing his personal second Augusta Masters victory. The American, increasingly dominant in the Official World Golf Ranking, is radiant as he approaches the media microphones.

The Ridgewood golfer expresses his joy: "It's hard to find the words when you have to comment on something special. It's been a long and challenging week, with environmental conditions making the course even more demanding.

Returning home wearing this jacket is extremely special to me," declares the American.

The twenty-seven-year-old from New Jersey navigated through complicated situations and phases of play thanks to his exceptional maturity: "I feel like I have full control of my emotions like never before.

I feel like I'm maturing as a person on the golf course. It's hard to go back and discuss tournaments from previous weeks, but here I played really well and I try not to dwell on the past," Scheffler continues. Last round in which the American shifted into high gear from the 8th hole onwards, creating an insurmountable gap for his opponents: "I would say the best shot was the birdie putt on the 8th.

It was a challenging read but I made a straight shot even though it was difficult and daring. That gave me great momentum to make birdies on the 9th and 10th and keep pushing because I knew that on the back nine many talented players were trying to catch up, knowing that pars were useless," comments the world number one.

Finally, compliments come from the defeated towards the two-time Augusta Masters champion. "His drives are very long, much longer than mine. He makes spectacular shots while making everything look simple. He putts when he needs to, otherwise he still leaves himself a second chance...

and he never gets into trouble," Morikawa declares about the winner. "Scottie is an incredible player. In the last two holes, we always expect him to be up there in the top positions. He proved it again, and I believe that someone like him makes us better," concludes Aberg.
