The countdown to the 2023 National Final of the World Corporate Golf Challenge Italy is underway, set to take place at the Golf National, which hosted the 2018 Ryder Cup and will be the venue for the upcoming Olympic Games in July, both for men and women.

Following two days of competition on May 7th and 8th, the pairs/companies who emerge victorious in the gross and net divisions will be crowned "national champions" and will earn the right to represent Italy at the upcoming World Final, scheduled to be held from October 28th to November 1st in China, at the prestigious Mission Hills Haikou resort on Hainan Island.

For the pairs participating in the Special Event 2024 over 36 holes (and for all pairs from the National Final who do not make the cut after the first day of competition), the objective will be to immediately qualify for the Semi-Finals of the new 2024 edition, which began on March 23rd at the San Domenico Golf and will conclude in spring 2025 in Spain.

Participants of the event and all those wishing to follow the competition can find all the information on the official event portal, which, thanks to Golf Genius, will also provide Live Scoring. The tee times for the first day of competition are already available online.

On the field, 62 pairs (124 players) will compete in a 4-ball, stroke play format, over 18 holes. The top 8 pairs in the Gross Category and the top 8 pairs in the Net Category will advance to the second day of competition and will be placed in two direct elimination brackets (quarterfinals, semifinals, final).

Pairs participating in the National Final who do not advance to the next round will be entered into the Special Event over 36 holes, retaining their score from the first day of competition. Let's not forget the gala dinner and the draw for the pairings of the quarterfinals in the two match play brackets...

All the ingredients are there for a truly special event. The eagerly anticipated Games of the XXXIII Olympiad, affectionately dubbed Paris 2024, are set to grace the vibrant city of Paris, France, from July 26th to August 11th, 2024, marking exactly a century since the city last hosted the event.

The decision to entrust Paris with this prestigious honor was formally announced on September 13th, 2017, during the 131st IOC Session convened in Lima, Peru. This historic designation solidifies Paris as only the second city, following in the footsteps of London (which hosted the Olympics in 1908, 1948, and 2012), to host the Summer Olympic Games on three separate occasions, following its earlier turns in 1900 and 1924.
