Madison Young, a 27-year-old from Canton, Georgia, and a graduate of The Kennesaw State University, turned professional in 2019 and joined the circuit in 2020 after earning her 'card' at the Qualifying School.

She surged to the top of the leaderboard in the second round alongside Swedish golfer Beatrice Wallin, who finished 16th with 209 (-7). In the third round, Young prevailed with a score of 71 (-1), highlighted by two eagles and two birdies in the first eight holes.

Despite a slight setback with three bogeys and a double bogey on the back nine, she managed to maintain a one-stroke lead over six competitors tied for second place with 206 (-10): Kaitlin Milligan, Cydney Clanton, Filipina golfer Dottie Ardina, Thai golfer Pornanong Phatlum, Taiwanese golfer Ssu-Chia Cheng, and Dutch golfer Dewi Weber.

At eighth place with 207 (-9) were Kaitlyn Papp Budde, South Korean golfer Soo Bin Joo, and Slovenian golfer Ana Belac. Young received a prize of $37,500 out of a total purse of $250,000 for her victory. The rules of golf represent a standardized framework governing the sport globally.

Managed jointly by the Royal & Ancient Golf Club of St. Andrews, except for the United States and Mexico, under the United States Golf Association, these rules undergo periodic refinement to ensure relevance and fairness.

The latest update, effective since January 1, 2016, reflects efforts to streamline understanding and balance penalties across various scenarios. Amidst the global golf community, Italy's Federgolf plays a pivotal role in upholding these regulations.

Charged with overseeing competitions and ensuring adherence at all levels, Federgolf also serves as a guardian of fair play, administering sports justice where necessary. Through its vigilance, Federgolf not only maintains the integrity of the game domestically but also champions the interests of Italian golfers on the international stage.
