Rose Zhang, results

Twenty-year-old Rose Zhang, hailing from Arcadia, California, secured her second title on the LPGA Tour within eleven months.

Her first victory came at the Mizuho Americas Open in June 2023, just a month after turning professional following her triumph at the Augusta National Women's Amateur. Zhang boasts an illustrious amateur career, having spent 141 weeks as the top-ranked amateur worldwide, a feat unmatched by any other.

Starting the final round trailing Sagstrom by one stroke, Zhang fell further behind by three strokes at the 13th hole. However, she turned the tide with four birdies in the last five holes, carding a remarkable 66 (-6) to overtake Sagstrom (69, -3) and secure the title.

For her victory, Zhang earned a prize purse of $450,000 from a total purse of $3,000,000. The pace set by the top two contenders was overwhelming, with Australian Gabriela Ruffels finishing third with 279 (-9), trailing by a considerable fifteen strokes.

Tied for fourth with scores of 280 (-8) were Chinese golfers Ruoning Yin and Xiyu Lin, Taiwanese player Peiyun Chien, while seventh place at 281 (-7) was shared by Sweden's Linn Grant, Thai golfers Pajaree Anannarukarn and Wichanee Meechai, Australian Minjee Lee, and Nelly Korda, the world number one, who had come off five consecutive victories.

Roberta Liti, initially among the top ten after the first two rounds (eighth and sixth), lost ground with a 76 (+4) in the third round but managed to climb three spots in the final round with a 71 (-1, three birdies, two bogeys). Despite this, it marked her fourth consecutive cash finish and fifth in seven events of the season.
