There are three pieces of news coming from the BMW International Open which ended today in Munich. The first, of course, concerns the winner, Ewen Ferguson. For the twenty-eight year old Scot, who closed a very good weekend at -18, the third success on the DP World Tour arrives, the first in 2024 after he had found two in 2022.

The second concerns Matteo Manassero, who despite being 47th with a score of -3 qualifies for the Open Championship number 152, taking place from 18 to 21 July at the Royal Troon. He will be the third Italian in the race after Francesco Molinari, who has the exemption as a former winner up to 60 years of age, and Guido Migliozzi, who gained the pass through the KLM Open he won.

The third concerns Migliozzi himself: the Vicenza native, in fact, despite not even having passed the cut, is proclaimed the winner of the European Swing, the cycle of six tournaments of the DP World Tour with which he takes home 200,000 dollars.

Another important satisfaction for the man who has regained the Italian leadership. As for the tournament itself, with no one able to match the pace of Ferguson's last lap, Australian David Micheluzzi in second place at -16 paired with Englishman Jordan Smith.

England and Scotland are still in fourth place at -14, with Matthew Southgate and Connor Syme respectively. Belgian Matthis Besard, Swedish Jens Dantorp and Japanese Rikuya Hoshino are sixth at -13. The other good news for Italy concerns ninth place, in the hands of Filippo Celli who celebrates another good week with -12, finishing alongside the Englishman Ross Fisher, the Frenchman Romain Langasque and the Belgian Thomas Pieters.

Patrick Reed remains outside the top ten: the USA is 13th at -11. Said of Manassero 47th, good signs from Renato Paratore who finishes 40th at -5. These are the results of the event BMW International Open which ended today in Munich
