While there is still much time until the start of the new Ryder Cup edition, fans eagerly follow updates about both teams and players, enthusiastic to learn what to expect. Bethpage Black will host another Ryder Cup. Fans are filled with excitement and anticipation for great play, and judging by everything, we are in for a spectacle.

There was a lot of talk about who could be the new captain of the US team. Several candidates were mentioned, but now we have an official confirmation.

Keegan Bradley will be the new captain of the US Ryder Cup team. There are high expectations for Bradley, both from fans and players alike. His playing qualities, as well as experience, can be an important thing.

The US team does not want to experience what happened in Europe last year. The Americans did not look good playing at the tournament in Rome, and it was clear they had many issues. The Europeans started fiercely, were dominant, and in the end, the American team managed to reduce the lead and prevent a debacle. Such a scenario is not something golf fans in the US want to see again.

Despite weeks of speculation about Tiger Woods as an option, it appears the American does not see himself as the captain of this team, preferring to focus on other things. Bradley has been part of the Ryder Cup team twice, and on both occasions, he was impressive.

Golf legend Phil Mickelson had the opportunity to play with Bradley, considering him a great choice. Mickelson admitted he was surprised Bradley was chosen as captain but believes they made the right decision, especially considering Bradley's experience.

"I was surprised at the pick, and I think it's a great pick, the more I think about it. He played a lot of golf at Bethpage when he went to St. Johns."-Mickelson said, as quoted by Golf Monthly.

Phil Mickelson: His passion for the Ryder Cup is greater than just about any player I've ever seen

Mickelson stresses that this golfer has the passion necessary for success in the Ryder Cup. Additionally, Phil knows Bradley well and sees him as someone who has immense love for the Ryder Cup. Judging by Mickelson's description, golf fans in the US can be satisfied, happy, and even excited about this new chapter in the US team.

"His passion for the Ryder Cup is greater than just about any player I've ever seen. His love for the Ryder Cup is more than anybody I know. I think he's going to lead with that type of passion."- he continued.

Mickelson believes that after Bradley was not on the team last year, he has every right to be happy about his important role in the new edition of the Ryder Cup. With great golfers at his disposal, it will be interesting to see how he uses their quality.

"I think he's incredible. I'm really, really happy for him. I think we all are really happy for him knowing how gut-wrenching it was to not be part of the team last year, but to now have the opportunity to lead and go forward I think is great."- Mickelson said.

Keegan Bradley is someone who has a huge amount of respect for Mickelson, his older counterpart. The two know each other well, and Bradley has only words of praise for the experienced golfer who is currently part of LIV Golf.

When discussing Mickelson's potential role on his staff at Bethpage, Bradley mentioned that he still maintains a strong relationship with Phil. However, Bradley indicated that he doesn't believe Phil is interested in serving as a vice-captain. Bradley also expressed his belief that Phil has the potential to be a captain himself in the future.

He stressed that he hasn't spoken directly with Phil recently and didn't want to speculate on Phil's behalf, but he believes Phil is currently occupied with other commitments. Bradley emphasized his respect for Phil, their shared memories, and highlighted their experiences together at the Ryder Cup as some of his fondest memories in the sport.

It will be interesting to see how the 38-year-old golfer leads the team at Bethpage Black. The US has many quality golfers, but only the best will earn a spot on this team. With the US team playing on home soil, fans give them the edge. US golfers dominate the world of golf, but it's a fact that the European team also has many talented golfers, as shown in past editions. Predictions vary, but Bradley will certainly have an intriguing task. Bradley still has some matters to resolve, and he will monitor golfers to create the team based on everything.
