Maria Sharapova has made an epochal change to her look: she has said goodbye to her iconic blonde hair, to opt for a brunette color. As seen from the recent photos that the beautiful tennis player Siberia shared on Instagram, her hair, which for years has identified her look, has a decidedly darker shade, a brunette that really fits Maria divinely.
Sharapova shared arty photos in an airplane hangar and then inside a luxury plane, which you can check out below. In the Instagram post she said: "I loved creating these beautiful images with @acs_aircharter and @photobyjennajones.
Nostalgic, old Hollywood, black & white feels. The mood of boarding an aircraft and heading on your own personal adventure. And getting there in style. "
Sharapova on Serena Williams
Rivals since Maria Sharapova entered the professional circuit, the former Russian tennis player spoke of Serena Williams and her retirement in Flushing Meadows.
"It has been wonderful to see Serena's path and the glory and gracious tenacity with which she has carried on his career," told the former world number one to ESPN. The interview was released on the occasion of the two women's semifinals of the US Open, where Maria Sharapova was present in the stands.
The winner of five Grand Slam titles made a comparison between Serena Williams and the current generation, telling an anecdote dating back to last year's Met Gala, where they were both present: "We talked about it last year at this time of the year and I told her, with no disrespect to this generation, that she was much better off and that she had to go out there, so I'm glad she had the chance to do it here in New York." Serena Williams played the last matches of her career at the US Open.
In the US Grand Slam, as well as the home tournament for the more successful Williams sister, everything was ready for the retirement of the former world number one. A preparation that, however, slipped as the days went by, collecting victories against her opponents: first against Kovinic in the first round, then against the number two seed Anett Kontaveit.
Serena Williams, however, had to surrender against the Australian Ajla Tomljanovic in three sets.
