Jannik Sinner's season
It was a very tough year for Sinner who, having participated in many events, lost a lot of physical and mental energy.
The Italian number one and number 7 in the world is undoubtedly among the athletes who have achieved excellent results this season. The semi-final at Wimbledon, the first in a Grand Slam tournament, the victory in the ATP Masters 1000 in Toronto and many other satisfactions for the tennis player who, at the moment, is fourth in the Race rankings.
All that's missing is the official status and then Jannik will officially be one of the eight who will participate in the ATP Finals in Turin. While Novak Djokovic, Carlos Alcaraz and Daniil Medvedev are already qualified for the end-of-year tournament, which will be held in Turin, Sinner lacks just over 600 points.
However, qualification is a formality, also because the American Taylor Fritz, ninth in the Race, will not participate in some of the upcoming tournaments in China.
For Sinner it would be the first time and the Italian will be able to experience unique sensations.
Great results, yet Sinner is at the center of controversy these days. Jannik preferred to avoid participating in the Davis Cup, a choice motivated by excessive tiredness in recent months. Sinner preferred to preserve himself in view of the last part of the season, which will see him protagonist in China for some Asian tournaments in a few days. Italy took a big risk, but they did it. Sinner thus avoided further controversy.
