
Introduced to tennis aged four by father, Radovan, who used to run a tennis club, Viktoria Kuzmova admired Rafael Nadal and Ana Ivanovic. As a junior, she won the2015 us Open girls' doubles title with Aleksandra Pospelova, defeating Anna Kalinskaya and Anastasia Potapova in the final and was runner up in singles in Flushing Meadows in 2016.
The Slovak made her WTA qualifying debut at 2016 Prague and her tour-level main draw debut at 2017 US Open (as qualifier, l. V.Williams). She ended 2017 season ranked No.132, her first Top 200 year-end finish. During the season, she advanced to the quarter-finals stage or better at 12 ITF events, winning two $25k titles in Mildura and Imola. The highlight of 2017 season was earning the first tour-level win at Linz over Friedsam (l. Maria in 2r).
In 2018 she posted her best career result in Budapest, simultaneously making tour-level quarter-finals and semifinals debut. As qualifier, defeated No.36 Cirstea, Grand Slam runner-up Lisicki and Petra Martic to reach the last 4 without dropping a set (l. Van Uytvanck). She was instrumental for Slovakia on Fed Cup debut against Russia in February, going 2-0 in singles (d. Potapova, Vikhlyantseva) as they ran out 3-1 winners, and put in another dominant Fed Cup performance vs. Belarus in April (d. Sasnovich, Sabalenka) however Slovakia lost 3-2 overall.
