Australian tennis star Nick Kyrgios and USA's Frances Tiafoe have withdrawn from the Delray Beach Open, according to Michal Samulski. Meanwhile, world No. 42 Tommy Paul was awarded a wildcard into Delray Beach.
Kyrgios, 26, won't be making his second Delray Beach appearance this year. Kyrgios debuted at the Delray Beach Open in 2019.

Back then, Kyrgios beat John Millman in the first round before suffering a surprise loss to Radu Albot in the round-of-16. On the other side, 24-year-old Tiafoe will not be making his fifth appearance on the hard courts of Delray Beach.
Tiafoe had a dream Delray Beach debut as he claimed his maiden ATP title at the tournament in 2018.
Kyrgios not ready to return to action
Kyrgios will take a bit more time before returning to action. Kyrgios last played at the Australian Open, where he captured his maiden Grand Slam title after he and Thanasi Kokkinakis won the men's doubles event in Melbourne.
“I have won some big titles around the world, played some amazing matches. This one ranks one for me,” Kyrgios said in their post-match press conference. Kyrgios collected his maiden Grand Slam title by playing doubles with one of his best friends.
“I owe it to Kokk, the way he came out this summer and won that tournament, and I'm not gonna ruin like -- we don't know how many Oz Opens we're going to play in the future due to injury or just deciding not to play,” Kyrgios exclaimed.
“There was too much on it to do everything I could to play and play well, and look what happened. This is a memory that we are never going to forget. We are going to grow old, and we're always going to, Remember that time we rolled off the couch and just won Oz Open? Honestly."
