Nick Kyrgios speaks extremely highly of Naomi Osaka

Six-time ATP champion Nick Kyrgios thinks highly of Naomi Osaka as she has labeled her as a "great champion." Osaka, 24, has achieved some pretty notable things in the game as she is a four-time Grand Slam champion and a former world No.

1. The past year hasn't been easy for Osaka, who has several times spoken about her mental health. Osaka, who has become a leading voice for athletes' mental health, is back on the Tour and hoping to soon reach her previous heights.

Kyrgios, a former world No. 13, is rooting for Osaka to get back to where she was once was. "You know, I'm a massive fan of Naomi. I think what she can do for the sport and what she's already done, she's a great champion.

I think she's incredible. I think she's going to inspire millions of people," Kyrgios said, per Sportskeeda.

Kyrgios blasts hecklers

A heckler brought Osaka to tears in Indian Wells and Kyrgios hated seeing the Japanese so upset on the court.

Kyrgios himself knows very well how it feels to get heckled during matches and he usually responds in a strong manner. "I get really pissed off when people in the crowd say things and it affects our great champions like that, because she's carrying a lot of weight on her shoulders," Kyrgios added.

"She's also a normal human dealing with normal problems as well as carrying the weight of the world." After the Indian Wells incident, Osaka started talking to a therapist. "I want to be first to stand up and say it's not okay.

But she's awesome. I want the best success for her. Obviously her ranking is not where it used to be, and I want her to get back to the top. Everyone knows what she's capable of," Kyrgios added.
