World No. 1 Carlos Alcaraz has already signed up to compete at the ATP 500 event in Acapulco next year. Alcaraz, 19, will be making his second Acapulco appearance next year. In 2021, Alcaraz made his Acapulco debut. In his first Acapulco appearance, Alcaraz didn't make it far as he lost to Alexander Zverev in the first round.
Casper Ruud, the new second-ranked player in the world, and sixth-ranked Stefanos Tsitsipas have also been confirmed for Acapulco.
Ruud, 23, made the Acapulco quarterfinal last year and he is set for his second appearance at the Mexican tournament. On the other side, Tsitsipas is set for his third consecutive Acapulco appearance.

Previously, Tsitsipas ended runner-up in Acapulco last year, while he reached the semifinal this year.
The Acapulco organizers secure Alcaraz
The Acapulco organizers are certainly absolutely thrilled about the fact that they have Alcaraz signed up for the 2023 tournament edition.
At the age of 19, Alcaraz is already a Grand Slam champion and the youngest world No. 1 in tennis history. “I just can say that I'm really happy to move on to be No. 1 of the world, still growing. I'm so, so happy. I never thought that I was going to achieve something like that at 19 years old.
