WATCH: Protestor sets himself on fire in wild LC scene before Federer's final match

A climate change protestor set his arm on fire midway through the Stefanos Tsitsipas and Diego Schwartzman match at the Laver Cup. During the changeover at the end of the first set, a protestor stormed onto the court and set his arm on fire.

The protestor wore a t-shirt which read: "End UK private jets."

The security was quick to react, pouring the water onto his arm and escorting him out of The O2 Arena.

Unfortunately, it's not the first time this season that there has been an incident of this nature on tennis courts. At the French Open, a protestor made her way onto the court and tied herself to the net. The French Open protestor wore a t-shirt that read: "We have 1028 days left."

Tsitsipas wasn't bothered by the incident

After easily winning the first set with a 6-2 score, Tsitsipas also dominated the second set to complete a 6-2 6-1 victory over Schwartzman. So far so good for Team Europe as they have two wins and zero losses.

In the opening match of this year's Laver Cup edition, Casper Ruud of Team Europe defeated Team World's Jack Sock. Now, everything is set for Roger Federer's final match. Tonight, Federer is teaming up with Rafael Nadal as they play against Sock and Frances Tiafoe.

“It’s going to be very emotional in a couple hours in this area," Ruud said of Federer's final match. "It’s been all laughs so far but I’m sure there will be some tears when Roger steps off the court for the last time.

One of the greatest athletes of all time, no matter the sport. I feel very lucky to be in the arena to witness it very close and I’m sure people with tickets tonight will probably have some of the best times of their life”.
